For the next two weeks, I will be highlighting a new book in The Red Petticoat Saloon series on an (almost) daily basis...
If you haven't heard of The Red Petticoat Saloon, it's essentially an idea which my great friends Alta Hensley and Maggie Ryan dreamed up, where a bunch of top authors get together to write a series, with all the stories taking part in the same place. In this case, the place is a saloon in the mining town of Culpepper Cove in the gold rush of 1850's California. The girls who work there are referred to as 'gems', and each book follows the story of a different one.
Essentially, if you like historical Westerns, plenty of erotic romance, sexy spankings and emotional tales of love, lust, desire and drama, you won't want to miss a single installment - even though they can all be read as standalones.
Maggie Ryan's Jewel's Gems kicks things off brilliantly. It tells the story of how a pretty, British, aristocratic daughter comes to be on the other side of the world in the States, and how she ends up running The Red Petticoat Saloon with a dashing male partner.
I don't want to give much away, so I'll just say that this is an epic tale full of adventure as well as romance, and even if you don't read all the books in the series, I would still recommend you read this one.
Hugs,
~ Tabby x
